Hospitality Technology 2023 Hotel Technology Forum

New York Times Cites EnsembleIQ’s Hospitality Technology Annual Study of Lodging Technology to Be Updated With Fresh Insights and Presented at Upcoming Hotel Technology Forum

The New York Times today cited a Lodging Technology Study distributed by EnsembleIQ‘s Hospitality Technology focused on embracing mobility and self-service. The study is available here, and a new version with fresh insights will be presented at Hospitality Technology’s Hotel Technology Forum, November 15-17 at the PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.

In this article (New York Times subscription required), The Times also quoted insights from Hospitality Technology Editor-in-Chief Robert Firpo-Cappiello.: “Smart hotel rooms are about empowerment,” said Firpo-Cappiello, “Contactless interactions were a survival pivot for hotels during the pandemic. People are used to them now. There is no going back.”

The 2023 study was authored by Firpo-Cappiello and Mehmet Erdem, Ph.D., associate professor of hotel operations and technology at the William F. Harrah College of Hospitality, University of Nevada Las Vegas. It was based on a survey of hotel professionals representing more than 18,000 properties worldwide, including luxury, upscale, midscale, and economy brands. The findings focused on hotel tech budgets, the adoption of mobile check-in/out and other self-service options, and hotel technology return on investment. A new 2024 version with updated data and analysis will be delivered at the upcoming Hotel Technology Forum.

The Hotel Technology Forum is where hotel leaders and technology solution providers meet to explore the industry’s hottest topics. It will include three days of executive-level conversations about the intersections of technology and customer experience, operations, and more. With a program designed for networking and interaction, attendees will leave with the connections and inspiration to take their business to the next level.
